Jumper, a review

For the last few months I have been waiting for the movie Jumper to come to movie theaters. The movie is a science fiction based on a 1992 novel by Steven Gould. The movie is built around David Rice (played by Max Thieriot and later by Hayden Christensen) who lived with his less than loving father William (played by Michael Rooker), his mother Mary (played by Diane Lane) left him at the age of 5 years old. As a teenager he falls into an ice-coverd river near his school and discovers that he is a Jumper. This ability gives him the chance to transport from place to place around the world. He buys a house in New York and uses money he has stolen from a bank to live his life to the fullest.
Later while on a trip to Rome with his childhood sweet-heart he meets another jumper named Griffin (played by Jamie Bell). This jumper has been fighting against Paladins, who have hated jumpers for centuries. The head of the current paladins, Roland Cox (played by Samuel L. Jackson) has been tracking him for several years after investigating the mysterious bank robbery David did. Roland uses a number of different technologies to kill jumpers.
David and Giffin join together to try to stop Roland. The movie continues along this scenario.
The movie has nice and entertaining graphics with several fast-past scenes. However, the movie does fall short with unrealistic acting and not taking advantage of a great idea to its fullest. For example, when David's girl friend first finds out about his ability to jump she does not act in a really surprised or shocked way that you would expect. The idea of jumping could have been used to create alot of interesting and even funny scenes. Overall I think it was entertaining but I was expecting more.

little me

When I was ten years old I used to be a very shy and quite person. I was very attached to my parents. I did not have alot of friends. I remember that I spent most of my time reading books or helping my mom taking care of my little sisters and bothers. It was a fun time and I still have alot of good memories.

My Hany Moon

On my honeymoon which was 4 yaers ago I went to Germany. It was an unforgetable trip. The weather was wonderful. The nature around you makes you feel as if you were in heaven. People there were very nice and friendly.
One of the beautiful places that I visited there was the Palace of Neuschwanstein. It was a fairy-tale palace built by King Ludwig more than 100 years ago. It was built on top of a high mountain. We had too walk about 30 min all the way to the top to get there. Inside the Palace was beatuiful and filled with very expensive items. I realy enjoyed the journy and Iwish that I have the chance to go there again.

Jena

I have a lovely, beautiful two year-old daughter. We named her Jena, which in Arabic means the honey of heaven. She is very active and passionate. My husband says she is another me just without all the drama! The best part of my day is when I pick her up from daycare and she runs enthusiastically, screaming "mama...mama" and wants her hug!

My husband and I talk to her in both English and Arabic and as a consequence she is learning to be bilingual. Our friends that speak Arabic find it very funny sometimes because Jena will say words in Arabic with an American accent or English words with an Arabic flare.

Her favorite pass times are to read her books, dance, sing and play hide and seek. It is a wonderful thing to watch this non-verbal, non-mobile creature become an inteligent, running all-over-the-place, non-stopping little adult! We are truely blessed.
